About

Bangladesh is our origin, our material memory, and our point of responsibility.

The Story

We wanted to change what Bangladesh-made leather goods could mean.

tannery mor. refers to the crossroads of leather production in Bangladesh — literally the geography that gave rise to the industry around us.

The brand was born from a simple frustration: Bangladesh is a global leather-producing hub, yet too much of what it makes is unsustainable, cheaply made, and forgettable. We wanted boutique craftsmanship, durable design, and material honesty rooted here.

So we work directly with skilled artisans who have been working with leather for generations. No middlemen. No wasteful supply chains. Just responsible making and objects built to stay useful.

Philosophy

Fewer products. Better choices. Longer lives.

We use vegetable-tanned leather to avoid chrome-heavy processes that damage the environment. We minimize accessories that add frills and pollution. We design for repair, because a bag should age with you rather than be replaced by the next season.

What is essential is often invisible. Structure, stress points, closures, and stitching matter more than ornament. That is where durability lives.

Our Values

Responsible

Direct relationships with makers. Support for small businesses in de-industrialized landscapes.

Durable

Full-grain leather that develops character over years, not months. Built to be used and repaired.

Essential

We strip away the unnecessary so every feature earns its place in your day.
